USNS Walter S. Diehl (T-AO-193)
On November 20, 2014, USNS Walter S. Diehl and USNS Amelia Earhart (T-AKE-6) hit as they were
beginning a resupply operation, the naval Central Command said in Bahrain. The two naval supply
ships collided in the Gulf of Aden, off Yemen. There were no injuries. There was only minor damage
to both ships. The ships operated under their own power and continued their assigned missions.
